Getting Started

MediaHarbour can be used with Jellyfin, with IPTV, or with both.

1. Install MediaHarbour

Install MediaHarbour on your Apple TV from the App Store. Make sure the Apple TV can reach the network where your Jellyfin server is running.

2. Connect Jellyfin

On first launch, allow MediaHarbour to discover Jellyfin on your local network or enter the server address manually. A typical Jellyfin address looks like:

http://192.168.0.22:8096

192.168.0.22 is an example local IP for this guide. Use the actual IP address or hostname of your own Jellyfin server.

You can sign in with your Jellyfin username/password or use Quick Connect.

3. Or use IPTV without Jellyfin

Choose Use MediaHarbour Without Jellyfin to use the IPTV features independently. MediaHarbour accepts user-authorized M3U playlists and optional XMLTV guide data. See the IPTV guide.

4. Start watching

Once connected, choose a library from the MediaHarbour sidebar. Playback availability depends on the media formats supported by the playback path and any transcoding configured on your Jellyfin server.
